SAFE SAILING
THIS WEB SITE AND ITS ASSOCIATES DO NOT SUPPORT PIRACY
LAST UPDATED 28 th January 2006

Any activity that involves being in the proximity of water, whether that be on it, in it,or around it,is inherently dangerous.
Carelessness on an individuals part could result in series injury and possible death, not only to themselves but to others.
As an operater of sailing craft crewed by sailors ranging in experience from the expert to the raw novice, and the dissabled,Chipping Norton Lake Sailing Club is actively motivated to develop and manage safety standards to the highest level.

With Public Liabilty Insurance cover of $10 million, the Club is well protected, but as the sport of sailing is as unpredictable as the proverbial weather,it is up to the individual participant to ensure the safe operation of their sailing vessels, the safety of their fellow crew members, all other participants, and all others present but not involved in the activity, especially and including the general public and their property.

We,as participants, are not covered by this insurance, and neither are our sailing craft.
It is up to the individual participant to arrange insurance cover for themselves and their sailing craft.

These issues are equally applicable to Twinbeach Modellers and the operation of Model Yachts, for although we are not out on the water in our sailing craft,we have operating situations that can also cause serious injury and possible death.

All sailing participants at Chipping Norton Lake Sailing Club Inc are directed to read the following sections by clicking on the links.
